Recovery
Moderate peeling, dryness, redness or sensitivity can occur following a medium retinol peel. Peeling usually develops over the days following treatment and can continue for 5-7 days as the skin renews. Your practitioner will provide personalised aftercare to support recovery and protect the skin.

Skin can appear brighter and smoother as the peeling process settles. Improvements in texture, pigmentation and overall skin quality continue to develop as cell turnover increases. A course of treatments may be recommended depending on your skin concerns and goals. Aftercare
Keep the skin moisturised and apply SPF 50 daily following treatment. Avoid picking or peeling the skin, as this can increase the risk of irritation and pigmentation. For at least 7 days, avoid exfoliants and active skincare ingredients unless otherwise advised by your practitioner. This includes AHAs, BHAs, glycolic acid, salicylic acid and retinol. Avoid significant sun exposure and sunbeds during recovery. Fake tan should also be avoided while the skin is peeling and recovering. Your practitioner will provide specific aftercare advice based on the peel used and your skin.
