The treatment is tailored to your skin, including the type and strength of chemical peel used alongside the microneedling treatment. This allows us to target concerns such as uneven texture, dullness, superficial pigmentation, fine lines and acne scarring.
Your practitioner will discuss the treatment process, expected results, recovery and recommended treatment schedule before proceeding.

The combined microneedling & chemical peel treatment is suitable for adults looking to improve overall skin quality, texture and tone and who want to address multiple concerns through a combined treatment approach.
It may be particularly beneficial for those concerned about dull or uneven skin, superficial pigmentation, fine lines, enlarged pores, uneven texture or certain types of acne scarring.
This treatment is not recommended immediately before or after significant sun exposure, including sunny holidays. This is particularly important for patients prone to pigmentation, as both microneedling and chemical exfoliation can temporarily increase skin sensitivity and the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). We recommend avoiding treatment for at least 4 weeks before and after a sunny holiday. Your practitioner will assess your skin and advise whether the treatment is suitable for you.

Recovery
The treatment typically involves around 2-7 days of downtime, although this can vary depending on the peel used and your individual skin response. Redness, sensitivity, dryness and mild peeling can occur following treatment. Your skin may also feel warm or tight initially. Your practitioner will provide personalised aftercare advice to support your recovery.
Results
Your skin may appear brighter and smoother as it settles within 5-7 days. Improvements in texture, tone and overall skin quality continue to develop over the following weeks as collagen production increases. Depending on your concerns and treatment goals, a course of 3 treatments are often recommended to achieve optimal results. Results can continue to improve for several months as new collagen is formed. Maintenance sessions are recommended.
Aftercare
Good aftercare is important following combined microneedling and chemical peel treatment. Keep the skin clean and protected, apply SPF 50 daily and avoid direct sun exposure while your skin recovers. Avoid makeup until advised by your practitioner and avoid active skincare ingredients, exfoliants, retinoids, AHAs and BHAs while the skin is healing. Do not pick or peel any areas of shedding skin. Your practitioner will provide personalised aftercare instructions based on the specific peel used and your skin.
