Lip Filler

Dermal filler requires minimal downtime. Most patients experience mild swelling, tenderness, or occasional bruising at the injection sites, which typically settles within a few days. You can return to normal daily activities shortly after treatment, although we advise avoiding strenuous exercise for 24 hours.

You will see the effects of lip filler immediately, with the final result developing over up to 4 weeks as any swelling settles. Results typically last 12-18 months, depending on the product used, the amount of filler placed and individual factors. Many patients choose maintenance treatments approximately every 12-18 months to help preserve their results.

Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, excessive heat (such as saunas, steam rooms and hot baths) and touching or applying pressure to the treated area for the first 24 hours after lip filler treatment. Mild swelling, tenderness, redness, bruising or small bumps can occur following treatment and usually settle as the lips heal. Swelling is often most noticeable in the first few days and gradually improves over 1-2 weeks. Do not massage or manipulate your lips unless advised by your practitioner.
