Recovery, results & aftercare
Recovery
Most patients can return to normal activities within 1 day. Small bumps, mild swelling, redness or tenderness at the injection points are common immediately following treatment and usually settle within 24 hours. Some patients may experience minor bruising or swelling for 1-3 days.
Results
Profhilo® results develop gradually as the treatment improves skin hydration and supports skin quality. Many patients notice improvements in hydration, smoothness and firmness over the weeks following treatment. A course of 2 treatments approximately 1 month apart is generally recommended. Results can last around 3-6 months, depending on individual factors. Maintenance treatments are typically recommended approximately every 6 months to help maintain results.
Aftercare
For at least 24 hours following treatment, avoid makeup, alcohol and strenuous exercise. Avoid aspirin and ibuprofen unless these have been prescribed or are medically necessary. Avoid touching or applying unnecessary pressure to the treated areas and follow the personalised aftercare advice provided by your practitioner.
