WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO BEGIN THEIR JOURNEY?

At The Academy Clinic, we welcome anyone aged 18 or over for our cosmetic dermatology treatments. For injectable treatments, the minimum age is 21.

During your consultation, our registered medical professionals will assess your suitability for your chosen treatment. This ensures every plan we recommend is safe, ethical, and tailored to you—helping you achieve your aesthetic goals with confidence and clarity.

WHO WILL BE TREATING YOU?

You will only ever be treated by a registered medical professional. All our trainees are doctors, dentists, nurses and clinical pharmacists, closely supervised by our aesthetics experts. You also have the choice to be treated by a senior trainer. To enable you to make the right decision on which treatment plan is most suitable for you, we have a selection of tiered pricing options, BRONZE, SILVER, GOLD, DIAMOND and DEMO.

Bronze

When you opt for our BRONZE tier, your treatment will be carried out by qualified medical professionals — doctors, nurses, dentists, or clinical pharmacists — under the direct supervision of one of our expert trainers, ensuring safe, high-quality care.

Silver

Choosing our SILVER option means your treatment is carried out by one or two qualified medical professionals — doctors, nurses, dentists, or clinical pharmacists — under the direct supervision of one of our expert trainers, ensuring safe, high-quality care.

Gold

When you select our GOLD option, your treatment is a fully private appointment with a specially selected practitioner, supported by our expert team to deliver safe, high-quality care.

Diamond

With our DIAMOND tier, your treatment will be delivered in a bespoke, private one-to-one appointment with a medical practitioner, with no training elements involved.

Demo

When you opt for our DEMO tier, your treatment will be carried out by one of our expert trainers as a demonstration, observed by a group of students.

WILL I STILL LOOK LIKE ME
The very reason The Academy Clinic exists is to give individuals the opportunity to take the lead on medical-led cosmetic treatments at affordable prices. Our processes are in place to ensure your concerns are listened to, your individuality is embraced and that all treatment processes and expectations are transparent throughout your treatment journey. We’ll work with you to enhance and rejuvenate, – not to drastically alter or disrupt the natural beauty of your face. Therefore, if anything doesn’t feel right, it simply won’t be done. HOW LONG IS RECOVERY TIME FOR INJECTABLES
Every patient is different. So, any aftercare advice is best given upon consultation. However, depending on the individual and treatment type, most cosmetic injectable treatments require very little recovery time. WILL THERE BE LOTS OF PEOPLE TREATING ME
No. For our anti-wrinkle and filler treatments there will be just one trainer or one trainee treating you during your appointment.
WHO WILL ADMINISTER THE TREATMENT
All treatments are performed by healthcare professionals (doctors, dentists, nurses, clinical pharmacists) under the close supervision of our expert trainers. All trainees are qualified doctors, dentists or nurses that are answerable to a governing body such as the GMC, GDC, NMC or GPhC .

Training tier appointments offer high-quality aesthetic treatments at a reduced cost, without compromising safety or professionalism. These appointments allow you to benefit from medically-led treatments while supporting the professional development of practitioners in the field.
WHO CAN BOOK AN APPOINTMENT AT THE ACADEMY CLINIC?
We welcome men and women of all ages* and skin types to book treatments at The Academy Clinic, provided you are suitable for the selected treatment.
*The minimum age for cosmetic dermatology treatments is 18. All other treatments, including injectables, are restricted to those 21 and over.

CAN I HAVE MORE THAN ONE TREATMENT?
You can have multiple treatments at The Academy Clinic, as long as each treatment is deemed suitable during your one-to-one consultation. There is no limit to the frequency of your visits, provided all treatments are agreed upon with your medical professional.
WHAT IF I CHANGE MY MIND ON THE DAY
During the consultation you will be given all of the information that you need and you are welcome to change your mind and decide to change or postpone the treatment.
WHAT ARE THE RISKS
The risks and benefits will be discussed with you prior to every treatment. All medical treatments have a small element of risk but you can be that our trainees work under the direct supervision of highly experienced practitioners and that we perform our treatments in the safest possible way. Bruising, and swelling can be normal and should subside within a couple days, any other side effects should be reported back to the clinic.
WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR MY APPOINTMENT
Please arrive for your appointment at least 10 minutes before so that the necessary paperwork can be completed. Late arrival may result in reduced treatment time or forfeiting of the appointment. The Academy Clinic will endeavour to ensure that your appointment runs on time; however, should we need to cancel or postpone your appointment at short notice, we will make every effort to contact you in advance.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTERWARDS
Aftercare information will be provided to you during your appointment and you can find out more information on our aftercare page here! You are welcome to attend for a check up if you have any questions or concerns about your treatment – we are open 6 days a week.
TREATMENT ADVISORIES
If you are having a skin treatment we recommend avoiding makeup on the day of your appointment if possible. Refrain from using active skincare products or fake tan 7 days before the appointment, and avoid sunny holidays within 4 weeks before or after the skin appointment.
Before receiving injectable treatments, it is advised to refrain from using makeup on the day of your appointment. Additionally, it is recommended to avoid scheduling any important events for at least one week following the treatment. If undergoing filler injections, it is advisable to refrain from traveling abroad for a minimum of seven days post-treatment.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT WITH A TRAINEE DOING MY TREATMENT?
The number of trainees present during your treatment depends on the treatment tier you choose. All trainees at The Academy Clinic are qualified medical professionals who are moving from their original medical field into aesthetics. Your experience will follow the same level of care and quality across each treatment tier.
A fully experienced trainer is always present to supervise and guide every step of your treatment, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal results. You can relax knowing you are in expert hands while benefiting from our structured, educational environment.
GUEST REGULATIONS
We kindly remind you that individuals under the age of 18 are not permitted to accompany patients on the premises. If you intend to bring a companion, we ask that they remain outside the treatment room. Please note that only service dogs are allowed on the premises. Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.
WHAT BRAND OF FILLER DO WE USE?
At The Academy Clinic, partner with premium brands such as Juvederm and Revanesse and utilise their extensive range for all our treatments at The Academy Clinic.
These products are part of a wide range of hyaluronic acid‑based fillers, chosen specifically for their quality, versatility and ability to support hydration, restore volume and enhance facial contours. Each product is selected based on your facial anatomy and individual goals to ensure safe, natural and personalised results.
WHAT TO EXPECT FOLLOWING DERMAL FILLER TREATMENT?
After your dermal filler treatment, it’s normal to experience mild swelling, redness, or slight bruising. These effects usually settle within a few days.
To ensure the best results and comfort, we recommend:
- Avoiding strenuous exercise, alcohol, and extreme heat for 24–48 hours
- Avoiding pressure on treated areas
- Following any personalised aftercare instructions provided by your practitioner
Most patients notice immediate improvements in volume and contour, with full results developing over the following 2-4 weeks as swelling subsides.
WHAT IS YOUR REVIEW POLICY FOR WRINKLE REDUCTION TREATMENTS?
Our review policy for wrinkle reduction treatments is tier-dependent. Reviews are not included for Bronze or Silver tiers, but are available for all other tiers.
WHY CAN’T I GET A WRINKLE REDUCTION REVIEW APPOINTMENT BEYOND THE 2-4 WEK WINDOW?
Wrinkle reduction reviews are carried out within a 2–4 week window, in line with manufacturer guidance. Treating after this period can increase the risk of over-treating the muscle, which may affect long-term results and risk adverse outcomes such as developing resistance.
As the full treatment cycle typically lasts around 12 weeks, once you are past the 4-week review point, a minimum of 8 weeks is required before it is safe to treat the area again.
DO YOU OFFER SKIN TREATMENTS IN THE TRAINING CLINIC

Your GOLD skin analysis begins with a thorough consultation with one of our expert skin practitioners. We take the time to understand your skin concerns, long-term goals, medical history and any questions you may have.
This is followed by an advanced assessment using our OBSERV skin analysis technology, which allows us to examine your skin beyond what is visible to the naked eye. We assess key factors such as pigmentation, hydration levels, pore health and overall skin quality to gain a deeper understanding of your skins needs.
Together, we review your results in detail before creating a comprehensive, personalised skin plan. This may include evidence-based skincare, in addition to expertly delivered in-clinic treatments tailored specifically to you.

ARE ALL TRAINERS REGISTERED WITH THE GMC/NMC/GDC/GPhC?
Yes – all of our trainers are registered healthcare professionals and hold current registration with their relevant governing body, including the GMC (General Medical Council), NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council), GDC (General Dental Council), or GPhC (General Pharmaceutical Council).
