Becoming a cosmetic model

First things first, a cosmetic model is what we call our clients who visit The Academy Clinic.

No need to panic, you won’t be photographed for the cover of Vogue upon arrival. It’s a term widely used in the aesthetics industry – and we liked it so much we’ve made it part of our everyday vocabulary.

WHO CAN BE A COSMETIC MODEL?

We welcome all individuals from the age of 21 and above to start their journey and become a cosmetic model for The Academy Clinic.

We only ask that you are suitable for the treatment you desire – which will be discussed in your consultation prior to treatment. This is to ensure we maintain an appropriate, ethical, and sustainable treatment plan to help you achieve your goals.

WHO WILL BE TREATING YOU?

You will only ever be treated by a medical professional. All our trainees are doctors, dentists, and nurses, closely supervised by our aesthetics experts. You also have the choice to be treated by a senior trainer. To enable you to make the right decision on which treatment plan is most suitable for you, we have a selection of tiered pricing options, SILVER, GOLD and DEMO.

Silver

Choosing our SILVER option means your treatment will be administered by a qualified doctor, dentist, or nurse – and each treatment will be performed under the direct supervision of an expert practitioner. Your treatment will always also be performed by just one practitioner. For teaching purposes, occasionally more than one trainee may be present during your treatment to observe.

Gold

When you select our GOLD option, your treatment will be administered by a talented medical professional who has been specially selected by one of our expert practitioners to build their aesthetics portfolio. Your treatment will always be performed without any trainees present.

Demo

Our DEMO option guarantees treatment from our leading aesthetics experts. Your treatment will be administered by one of our lead practitioners while they teach a small group of medical trainees. These trainees will be present in person (or via live stream) to ensure the exceptionally high standards of our professionals continues to develop and grow.

HOW LONG IS RECOVERY TIME FOR INJECTABLES
Each and every cosmetic model is different and unique. So, any aftercare advice is best given upon consultation. However, depending on the individual and treatment type, most cosmetic injectable treatments require very little recovery time. WILL I STILL LOOK LIKE ME
The very reason The Academy Clinic exists is to give individuals the opportunity to take the lead on medical-led cosmetic treatments at affordable prices. Our processes are in place to ensure your concerns are listened to, your individuality is embraced and that all treatment processes and expectations are transparent throughout your treatment journey. We’ll work with you to enhance and rejuvenate, – not to drastically alter or disrupt the natural beauty of your face. Therefore, if anything doesn’t feel right, it simply won’t be done. We want to celebrate your uniqueness – not change it.
WILL THERE BE LOTS OF PEOPLE TREATING ME
No. For our anti-wrinkle and filler treatments there will be just one trainer or one trainee treating you during your appointment.
WHO WILL ADMINISTER THE TREATMENT
All treatments are performed by healthcare professionals (doctors, dentists and nurses) under the close supervision of our expert trainers. All trainees are qualified doctors, dentists or nurses that are answerable to a governing body such as the GMC, GDC or NMC.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF BEING A COSMETIC MODEL
Being a model for The Academy Clinic is a great option for those who want the reassurance and safety of being treated by a medical professional but at a very affordable price. Our treatments are discounted because you will be treated by a Harley Academy’s trainee OR you will be treated by an expert practitioner whilst being observed by trainees.
WHO CAN APPLY TO BE A COSMETIC MODEL
Men and women of all ages* and all skin types are welcome as a Cosmetic Model in our Training Clinics. (providing you are suitable to the selected treatment type). *Minimum age limit for cosmetic models is 21.
CAN I HAVE MORE THAN ONE TREATMENT
Cosmetic Models are welcome to have multiple treatments in our Training Clinics, providing requested treatments are deemed suitable after consultation. There is no limit to the frequency of your visits either – providing all treatments are agreed as suitable following your one-to-one consultation.
WHAT IF I CHANGE MY MIND ON THE DAY
During the consultation you will be given all of the information that you need and you are welcome to change your mind and decide to change or postpone the treatment.
WHAT ARE THE RISKS
The risks and benefits will be discussed with you prior to every treatment. All medical treatments have a small element of risk but you can be assured that our trainees work under the direct supervision of highly experienced practitioners and that we perform our treatments in the safest possible way.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTERWARDS
Aftercare information is given in verbal and written form. You are welcome to attend for a check up if you have any questions or concerns about your treatment – we are open 6 days a week.
