Have you heard of HArmonyCa, the hybrid injectable that simultaneously lifts while stimulating collagen to improve your skin?
This innovative hybrid injectable has quickly become a popular treatment for patients who want a refreshed, firmer and more lifted appearance without looking overfilled.
But what exactly is HArmonyCa, how does it work, and how is it different from traditional dermal filler or collagen-stimulating treatments such as Profhilo®?
Here’s everything you need to know.
What is HArmonyCa?
HArmonyCa is a hybrid biostimulator injectable that combines two ingredients: hyaluronic acid (HA) and calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA).
These two ingredients work in harmony to deliver dual benefits:
Hyaluronic acid improves hydration and provides an immediate lifting and volumising effect.
Calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) is a naturally occurring mineral that supports the skin’s natural collagen production over time.
This means HArmonyCa is designed to offer both an immediate effect and progressive improvements in skin firmness and structure.
What is a hybrid injectable?
A hybrid injectable combines different technologies or ingredients within one treatment to address more than one aspect of facial ageing.
The result is a treatment that sits somewhere between traditional dermal filler and collagen-stimulating injectables.
What are the benefits of HArmonyCa?
HArmonyCa can be particularly appealing if you are beginning to notice changes in facial firmness, elasticity or definition but want to maintain a natural-looking result.
Benefits include:
- An immediate lifting effect
- Improved facial structure and definition
- Support for the skin’s natural collagen production
- Firmer-looking skin
- Improved skin elasticity
- Improved hydration
- A more refreshed appearance
- Subtle restoration of lost facial volume
- Progressive results that can develop over time
As with any aesthetic treatment, individual results will vary depending on factors including your anatomy, skin quality, age and the treatment plan recommended by your practitioner.
Where can you have HArmonyCa?
HArmonyCa is used to address signs of ageing in the mid and lower face, particularly where there is a combination of volume loss, reduced firmness and loss of definition.
Treatment areas include:
- Cheeks
- Mid-face
- Jawline
- Chin
Your practitioner will assess your facial anatomy, skin quality and individual concerns before deciding whether HArmonyCa is appropriate for you and where it should be administered.
Is HArmonyCa a dermal filler?
HArmonyCa is a soft-tissue dermal filler that goes beyond traditional volume restoration. It combines hyaluronic acid (HA) with calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) to provide an immediate lifting effect while also supporting the skin’s natural collagen production over time.
While traditional dermal fillers are primarily used to restore volume, enhance definition and provide structural support, HArmonyCa takes a more dual-action approach.
The two treatments can therefore have different roles within an aesthetic treatment plan. Traditional dermal filler may be more appropriate when precise volume, contouring or definition is required, while HArmonyCa may be considered when the aim is to combine lifting and structural support with collagen stimulation.
HArmonyCa vs Profhilo®: what’s the difference?
HArmonyCa and Profhilo® are both injectable treatments that can support improvements in skin quality, but they work differently and are designed to address different concerns.
Profhilo® is a hyaluronic acid injectable designed primarily to improve skin hydration, elasticity and overall skin quality. It does not contain calcium hydroxyapatite and is not designed to provide the same structural lifting effect as HArmonyCa.
HArmonyCa combines hyaluronic acid with calcium hydroxyapatite. The HA provides an immediate lifting and volumising effect, while CaHA supports collagen production and can contribute to firmer, tighter-looking skin over time.
In simple terms:
- Profhilo®: focuses more on hydration, skin quality and elasticity.
- HArmonyCa: combines skin rejuvenation and collagen stimulation with an element of structural support and lifting.
How long does HArmonyCa last?
The results of HArmonyCa typically last around 6–12 months, although this can vary between patients depending on factors such as their individual metabolism, lifestyle, skin quality and the area treated. Some patients may continue to see benefits beyond 12 months.
HArmonyCa also supports collagen production over time, so the benefits are not solely related to the initial volumising and lifting effect.
We recommend a maintenance appointment around every 6 months to assess your results and discuss whether further treatment is appropriate for you.

Can you have HArmonyCa with other treatments?
HArmonyCa can form part of a wider facial rejuvenation plan and may be combined with other treatments, such as medial cheek filler or nasolabial fold filler.
However, HArmonyCa should not be combined with another injectable treatment in the same area on the same day. Your practitioner may recommend spacing treatments apart to allow each area to be assessed and treated safely.
What is the aftercare for HArmonyCa?
To support a smooth recovery and help your treatment settle, we recommend:
- Avoid touching, massaging or applying unnecessary pressure to the treated area for the first 24 hours, unless specifically advised otherwise by your practitioner.
- Avoid strenuous exercise, hot yoga, saunas and steam rooms until the following day, as heat and increased blood flow may contribute to swelling and bruising.
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours, as this may increase the likelihood of bruising and swelling.
- Avoid tight hats, helmets or headbands that place pressure on the treated areas for the first few days.
- Where possible, sleep on your back for the first couple of nights to minimise pressure on the treated area.
- Follow any personalised aftercare advice provided by your clinician.
Mild swelling, tenderness, redness or bruising can be expected after treatment and should gradually improve over the following days.
Your practitioner will explain what to expect before you leave the clinic, and our team is always available if you have any questions during your recovery.
Are there any risks with HArmonyCa?
As with any injectable aesthetic treatment, HArmonyCa carries potential risks and side effects.
The most common reactions include:
- Temporary redness
- Mild swelling
- Tenderness around the injection sites
More significant complications can occur with injectable treatments, which is why it is important to choose an appropriately trained and experienced medical practitioner.
Before treatment, your practitioner should discuss your medical history, previous aesthetic treatments, expectations and the potential risks and benefits with you.
At The Academy Clinic, your safety comes first. We believe that a thorough consultation is an essential part of any injectable treatment, rather than simply choosing a product from a menu.
