Our most accessible lip filler offering.
Imagine a teaspoon of Calpol – this is 5ml. Divide this by 5 and you have 1 ml. Then divide 1ml by 2 and you have 0.5ml – not much really right? It’s a small amount. For some clients, it might not be enough dermal filler to achieve their personal lip goals. However… for some it can be a preferred option when considering the following:
Top up to a previous treatment
0.5ml can be a great option for those looking for a top-up to a previous treatment, even if your previous treatment was 1ml. Some of our clients like to come back for regular 0.5ml top ups, rather than less regular 1ml treatments. That’s why it’s called JUVÉDERM®️ Volift Retouch.
Those new to lip filler
0.5ml is a great introductory filler amount for first-time lip filler clients, especially if you’re nervous of what the result will be. Remember you will swell after treatment a little, so you will not see major change with 0.5ml after the treatment has settled over the first 2-4 weeks. If you love your results with 0.5ml – then great! Or if you want them a little fuller you can always come back for further treatment after 4 weeks. This gives time for any swelling to settle and the full result to be visible.
Subtle looking lip filler results
With a maximum of 0.5ml of JUVÉDERM®️ Vycross filler use, the added volume will be way more subtle than using 1ml, which in some cases is what our clients are looking for. That’s not to say that 1ml can’t look natural too! 1ml Lip Filler is always available if you want fuller lips, or your treatment goals require more product. We will always guide you through the consultation process.
Specific & targeted lip treatments
In some cases, 0.5ml is the right approach when looking to target small tweaks such as:
- Balancing upper and lower lip ratios
- Subtle border definition
- Asymmetry balancing
“What if 0.5ml isn’t enough to address my concerns?” Following your consultation, if it’s agreed that 0.5ml is not sufficient to target a specific concern, you can always upgrade to 1ml in your appointment. We are here to guide you with medical expertise, but you will always be in the driving seat when it comes to your treatment and the decision-making process.
How long will lip filler last?
The filler lasts the same amount of time as 1 ml – 8-12 months. However, remember that there is a much more subtle result with 0.5ml treatment, so it may appear as though your lips deflate quicker (although this isn’t the case).
