The Academy Clinic Training Clinics are a national network of teaching clinics in partnership with Harley Academy. Harley Academy is the UK’s largest Cosmetic Medical School and is a pioneer of quality education.
How does it work?
Will there be lots of people treating me?
No. For our anti-wrinkle and dermal filler treatments there will be just one trainer or one trainee treating you during your appointment.
Are the trainees qualified and insured?
Yes. All trainees are qualified doctors, dentists or nurses that are answerable to a governing body such as the GMC, GDC or NMC.
Where will I be treated?
In our professional clinical rooms.
What will happen before?
You will receive a full consultation to ensure that the selected treatment is right for you and to discuss how this can be best delivered.
What if I change my mind on the day?
During the consultation you will be given all of the information that you need and you are welcome to change your mind and decide to change or postpone the treatment.
What products do you use?
For our injectable treatments, we use premium products from Allergan – including JUVÉDERM®️ Vycross. These products are FDA approved and are of the highest quality.
What are the risks?
The risks and benefits will be discussed with you prior to every treatment. All medical treatments have a small element of risk but you can be assured that our trainees work under the direct supervision of highly experienced practitioners and that we perform our treatments in the safest possible way.
What happens afterwards?
Aftercare information is given in verbal and written form. You are welcome to attend for a check up if you have any questions or concerns about your treatment – we are open 6 days a week.
What does being cosmetic model on a demonstration day involve?
For the majority of our cosmetic model appointments there will be one expert trainer and one medical trainee with you during your appointment with no-one else in the clinic room. During these sessions the trainee administers the treatment under direct supervision. However, on Demonstration Days treatments are administered by one of our expert trainers whilst a small group of trainees watch and learn.
